- HW 1:
- Read the lesson in Deshpande, the Lesson Overview here and watch its videos. If you don’t already know the “regular” nominal endings (see the paradigm chart, p. 12 of the Sanskrit Notes handouts or p. 33 in Macdonell), memorize them immediately. Compare the regular consonant-final paradigms with those in -अस् / इस् / उस् and note the few differences between them.
- Submit exercises 1 (for शुच् , परिव्राज् and धनुस् only) and 2.1-3
- Using the audio file below, read the Sanskrit exercises along with Deshpande, using his pronunciation as your model, paying special attention to dentals, retroflexes and aspirates.
