Lesson 30 Exercises (pp. 247-49)
- HW 1:
- Read through the lesson and paradigms in Deshpande, noting how these roots look and behave just like those in the 5th class. Carefully go through the paradigm for कृ, noting its strong / weak stems (करो / कुरु) and the weak form (कुर्) it takes before -म्/-व् and -य् : e.g., कुर्वः, कुर्मः, कुर्यात् . Remember our normal internal sandhi in the strong:
- ओ → अव् // vowel: e.g., अतनो + अम् = अतनवम्
- Listen
to, and then read along with, Deshpande’s recording of the Sanskrit
exercises, using his example as the model for your pronunciation. Submit exercises 1.11-15 and 3.8-10.
